Bayside LIRR Station - Anna Lee

We took our very first photos for QS here in the summer, and I clearly remember that day because the sky threw up a double rainbow.  And suddenly, we've gone from 2012 to 2013, day to night, Summer to Winter. I know we all love bum days but pass on the sweatpants and make an effort to dress well (but warm) everyday, it'll make Winter worthwhile. As for old coats, just add a layer for texture (in this case a fur vest), a fur lapel, or sew in new buttons and voilà...new outerwear.

I hear that this week is going to be frigid, degrees hitting the wretched teens and even more so, the single digits (well, Upstate at least). Wonderful.

Fort Totten, NY

Missed us? Of course you did. Long overdue but, Happy 2013! The whole crew has returned for the freezing month long break that college so graciously offers.  Miri braved out the cold with some fine details and bam, that striking wine colored hair for a game changer.

If you haven't been to Ft. Totten, it's a sight for sore eyes especially when the sun falls...even though I've probably been there one too many times.  If you're in the area, stop by Press 195 and Martha's Bakery while you're there.
